I’ve been curious to know is there any way to find out how bulky/chunky a tyre is?

Before I rolled my arches my PS4 255/35R18 tyres on 18x9.5 ET50 wheels rubbed when going over bumps whereas others on this set up didn’t when running different brand tyres and my previous Avon tyres this size didn’t rub, I’ve been told multiple times the PS4 tyres are more widely built, chunkier, bulky than competitors but how do I find out how bulky they are incase I buy a different brand or model tyre next time round that happens to be even thicker and have to end up rolling again which I wouldn’t want to do?

Tyres do vary a bit. If tolerances are that tight, you'll have to throw yourself on the mercy of a tyre place. Find a good well established indy, the sort of place that gets involved with suspension setups and motorsports.
