Anyone see Bjorn Lomborg on TV the other night

The author of the Sceptical Environmentist.

I was really surprised, not only did he do a good job of rubbishing environmentalism as a do-no-wrong demi religion but he was also really young.

I'd always had him pictured in my head as some old beardy bloke wearing sandles wearing a knitted tank top. (he's a former environmentalist)

Anyway, top man, talks a lot of sense its just a pity the envirogoons are so far up their own arses they'll never listen.

actually I also thought that was quite good, that moron who threw the pie in his face came across shows how one eyed people can get.

His background is actually in statistics rather than environmental science but I still like the fact that he provides a more intelligent form of opinion to both the ignorant politicians and the equally ignorant environmental campaigners.

I did geography and Environmtal Science at uni and his book was one of our course texts which surprised me considering the lecturers were all full on Lentilists.

I have a lot of concerns over the environment and the planets but I still respect Lomborg for asking some difficult questions. I also like fast cars so yes I am a big style hypocrite!

Was brilliant! To the guy who read the book; is it any good? I'd be tempted to find a copy somewhere for a read

It was a good program but the 1st 15mins was all about poets and stuff - almost switched off but second half was a lot better - got some of his arguments across from his book very well.

His book is an interesting read and not too heavy going either - useful ammo to bait the greenies with.

Yeah, I've got to admit, I was only watching it in the background while I was doing other stuff, for the first half.

It was only when I realised who he was did I start paying attention. The second half seemed to be better.
