You might take a look at the MX5 AJ30 conversion done by Rocketeer, reviewed in EVO and here on PH.

https://www.rocketeercars.com/build-options/self-b...

It's possible many of the bespoke components might be of use to you.

kept an eye on ex S1 owner 'Lewis's Friend' who completed a Rocketeer on his driveway - brave man. It is a good but very expensive kit.

I did the conversion during 2019.

By the end of this years I believe there may be up to 8 TVR S's with the Jag engine and another couple who are interested.

I used the Jag S engine and gearbox as a unit - checked the flywheel and clutch. Also used the fuel pump - I was having a new stainless steel fuel tank made. The main things you will have to buy / make are: ecu and associated wiring loom. Exhaust manifolds and system. Engine and gearbox mounts.

What you should do is read my and Blue30 build threads. Also facebook page TVR AJ30 Conversion

Did you keep the same sump?
How come you didn’t use the gag inlet and went with the alpha setup.
Thanks for your response 😀

I used the Jag X type sump as it does not have the large extension to the front. You have to cut out a chassis cross member if you use the S type.
Although you can add another to regain the strength. To regain oil volume I added a remote filter and an oil cooler.

I did not like the look of the standard S type inlet manifold - no other reason.
