I'm putting a spinning bike into my garage and want to project the spinning class onto the back of the garage roller door. The distance from where I'd like the projector to the door is 6meters. The usable area for projection on the door is around 3.5m wide by 2 m high. It can be any size smaller than this. I know the picture won't be fantastic but it's just for exercise classes so it's not for a movie experience.

I've had a look and there are lots of options but to be honest I don't want to spend to much on one. The garage doesn't have any windows so will be pitch black, all the walls and ceiling are painted white. Im looking for any recommendations on a projector which would fit the bill. Having never had a projector before i thought I would pick the knowledge of those on here

Many thanks

If it's just for Spinning etc as you say, just type "cheap projector" into Amazon and you will find loads of them.
The resolution is poor and will probably be 4 x 3 (800 x 480)

I've found a few at the £80 mark.

If you want 1080 16 x 9 there is an -

Apeman LC650

on Amazon for £150.

They won't be great (check the reviews), but it may be adequate for your needs.
I can't see a throw ratio so you'll probably have a bit of work getting it to a decent position.
Also make sure it has the type of input you need.

Whatever you decide, enjoy your cycling.

Thanks for the advice, I’ll look into them.

I’m hoping I’ll get into it. I tried it at the gym but I prefer just doing it without all the other people there.

My girlfriend got me a Chinese one off amazon for xmas, perfectly good for setting up round the house or in the bedroom for watching in different places, going to use it in the summer too against the wall of the house for outdoor viewing.

We've had it up to about 75" and perfectly fine for normal watching.

Your size looks like it'll be about 160" so not sure how well it will be up to that size, but for the cheap price could be worth a go.

Be wary of where you'd like the projector not equating to where the projector would like to go.
The throw ratio might restrict the distance depending on model, so in order to get a big picture with a reasonable quality, it may have to be closer to the door.
