New exhausts going on the car tomorrow

Full system being added at LSV Wellingborough tomorrow, to the 2005 VXR. High-flow cats. and some nice free-breathing pipework.
Before and after dyno. readouts too.
Getting some decent gearbox oil put in at the same time and a set of Holden badges.
Looking forward.

Flywheel figures were today measured at 391 bhp standard and 425 bhp with the full system fitted.
To be honest, the real improvement is only above 4000 rpm, but even top gear performance is still better, because the slight flat spot it had has gone and the torque curve feels more even, although it is only a slight difference.

Mark at LSV said that he will get some more easy bhp for me, when the car has done about 6000 miles, since the engine seemed tight to him, with a mere 2200 miles covered.

The fuelling is now better, but still too rich, so I will go back later, stick a K and N air filter in, get the fuelling sorted via a re-map and I should be up and running quite nicely.

The sound is nicer, for sure, not too intrusive though and it weighs quite a bit less than standard.

Expensive at £2K? Yes, but I am pleased with the job they did.

Is your car a 6.0ltr 05 VXR OR 04 5.7ltr (registered in 2005)?

Standard manifolds, but new pipework after that, backwards, including high-flow cats.
Nothing else touched at all.
Just the exhaust system replaced.
Even the gearbox oil is waiting until later.

Change to a ripshifter, as well as gearbox oil. Fantastic mod. Read review in this months topgear mag.

He is very very complimentary of the device.

They fitted it for nothing and dyno'd it free, too, since I was the first 2005 6.0 customer they had fitted an exhaust for.

BRDC track car and Archie Moss Demo had mods....the best sounding zorst i have heard yet....

Some great mods just around the corner for the 6.0 VXR.
