Just seen that Ron Silva has run a 9.95 quarter in a Super Stock, I think they are bloody lovely and almost affordable unlike the Demon which was a limited production run. How many years till we can get a used one here for under 50K ? and/or will drag radials make it a bh to grip UK roads ?

Drag Radials grip just fine on a dry road but not legal for use in the UK.

Pretty soft as well so no bueno for wear & tear.

Absolutely stunning cars. I'd love one or a Hellcat but unaffordable as it stands, so have settled for a 2016 Scat Pack which is now waiting on DVLA registration smile

I'm on Scat Pack number 2 - Although I like the concept and historical nod of the Shaker, it's more of a chew-on to add a Hellcat "Air Catcher" through headlamp intake that does up the hp just a little.
This is my 2019 Widebody in White Knuckle. I've done a few gentle mods (Strange axle shafts and diff brace, intake, Diablo, Roar Pedal and Nitto drag radials). It runs high 11 quarters AND goes around corners. It's the 'Goldilocks' Challenger.

Prices shot up during the pandemic and I don't know if they have come down again yet, but this was the best deal out there at the time and the spec I wanted too (B5 Blue, manual). Annoyingly due to the lockdowns I haven't been able to go and see it frown

Matt Harper - looks cracking in white, I was in Tampa for work this time last year and hired a regular R/T for 10 days which was also white and I thought it really suited the car. The company never normally lets us hire cars but I had to do a small amount of travelling and they were fortunately happy for me to pay the difference between that and a Focus. Loved blasting down the I-75 to visit family I haven't seen for years in Cape Coral too. That car has a lot to answer for now! Is the Hellcat intake mod easy to do?

More details man, more details - challi with shaker is pretty much my dream car (I know the shaker doesn't add any power), but I'd "settle" for a Scat-pack

Yes extremely so. There are a couple of ways to do this the simplest being replacement of the lower half of the stock air box with it's Hellcat equivalent. The difference is that the Hellcat version has a hole in the front that you connect the 'air-catcher' tube to. The other end of the tube connects to the back of the inboard drivers side 'headlamp' (which isn't actually a headlamp at all). There is a knockout plug in the back of the headlamp unit that creates an air passage through the headlamp unit, directly into the air box. Both parts are available from Mopar or Speedlogix - http://www.speedlogixstore.com/category-s/23731.ht...

I went a different route and swapped out the entire intake system with a more expensive, but significantly more efficient after-market system from Advanced Flow Engineering. Main difference is that the air filter is gigantic (in terms of surface area) compared to OEM, and is totally sealed from the engine compartment, so draws no under-hood air at all - meaning it's colder and reducing the intake temp gives a (small) power gain. This system is significantly more expensive and requires relocation of the MAF sensor, which is a very delicate component that has to be correctly oriented in the air stream. The aFe system is very well made, fits perfectly and does give a modest power gain - https://afepower.com/afe-power-51-72203-r-momentum... - though (and as usual) nothing like as big as the claims of the manufacturer. It's the colder intake temps that attracted to me - because I live in a steamy climate and bracket-race my car.

irocfan - thanks, will get some more photos up later. I should have the keys within 4-6 weeks, hopefully sooner. Are there many American car events you get the Mustang to locally? I'm not far from you so assuming we ever get back to normal, could bring the Challenger down to them!

Matt - thanks for that, looks like it is under $100 to go with the 'stock' mods which seems really good value. Might have a look into that!

I'm in Essex (likely go further afield for a larger showfix after so little happening last year) and there are a few shows/meets around (or were!!!) - be interesting to see differences between Challenger and the Camaro side by side if we ever are not grounded!

Just realised I've managed to confuse you with the OP in Woking with a Mustang lol. The clue for me should have been in the username, it has been a long day spin either way not far so it's still on laugh

Not quite sure if it's my reply but I take the mustang to Brooklands, Shere Hill Climb, Pinewood/Walton Bridge car meets etc and Santa Pod, always room for more.....
