Guys - i'm really enjoying the Monaro at the moment - I have a few thoughts on my next mods:

Anybody have any figs for the monaro, compared to the Holden 4 door saloons, or other (manufacturers) cars for torsional stiffness (twisting of the bodyshell)? Sometimes I feel that the Monaro could do with a roll cage to stiffen the shell up a bit.

Also, anybody know of a 2 setting electronic damper system - the monaro rides fine over fast long sweeping bends (apart from the slight roll on oversteer) but around town it's a bit jiggly over poor surfaces. Be nice to have a 'comfort' button.

Lowered springs might help reduce the roll on oversteer?

Talk to Mark at Linden Special Vehicles, they fitted the Starr Performance coilover suspension from Oz, plus their revised bushes and a very stiff anti roll bar.

They get top marks from me on this work, now you have not heard me vsay something like that in a long time.

In order of pref, brakes still the best mod but now suspension 2nd with the engine 3rd & ICE 4th

Check out whiteline.com.au they have strut tower braces which will definately stiffen tortional strength and are recommended. I know the monaro is way stiffer than the commodore/hsv sedan.

Totally agree Will!

For me the Brakes have made the biggest improvement, followed by the engine and then the ripshifter/clutch hose.

Just want to do something to improve the comfort a bit, on rough surfaces. Also it needs to be slightly lower to cure the roll on oversteer. Re the flex I'm sure a rollcage (bolted at the right floor mounts) would improve the shell stiffness no end, but I don't want to spoil the interior too much. A rear end strut brace - never seen one before, but it's got to help.

Good to hear about your recent work at LSV, I just feel they are overpriced .... I I might start looking at some suspension packages from oz .... be really great to have a 2 comfort setting switchable system
