Thanks for that but sadly the link post results in no real non OEM solution. Followed up on Acerlugs but they are only listing bolts for the later cars now.The search goes on.
I've just ordered a half set of OEM for my 2012 Virage as I wasn't able to source an alternative. That said, I did have a closer look at the nuts that I couldn't get the socket over. It seems as though the problem is not tied to swelling of the steel under the chrome cover but, rather, twisting of the cover, perhaps by way of over-enthusiastic use of air-powered tools (or poorly seating the nut in the socket) by prior owners or shops.

I raise the point only to say that, if you go back to OEM and use only hand tools, you may not have a problem in the future with the OEM nuts.
At least that's what I'm hoping for in my case...

Correct - DB9 are 14X2.0
Amazon sells a set that fits, but doesn't have the slip washer. Because of this forum when I had swollen nuts on my pickup, I knew what was going on...
I use the 12X1.5 on my 2015 Ford truck. But Eisen makes 14X2.0 lug nuts. I'd put some anti-seize between the nut and the rim to allow a small amount of slippage as you torque down.
I believe the slip washer is unneeded. Lots of cars with aluminum wheels don't use them...

After doing what I thought was the correct research (including this thread) I bought some m14x2.0 nuts threaded all the way to the end to use with spacers on my 2009 V12V.
Tried fitting one (tried a few different ones) this morning and it won’t go on with fingers like the current Aston ones do.
I don’t want to ‘cut’ / damage the wheel bolt from the hub by forcing this new nut on as surely it should go on with fingers until it hits the wheel like the current ones do.
I was certain I’d bought the right ones but appears not? Any help appreciated
