Hi Guys

Took the Car in for its MOT yesterday and it failed on the O/S rear tyre, Had it replaced today and when I looked at the old one was shocked to see the Damage.

Is this Just a setup issue or did something else cause it ? ( its the inside of the Tyre so I hadn't noticed it )

Could be excessive camber, do both look the same from the rear or is one further from vertical?

Could be a bent suspension component causing it, could be an adjustment out of alignment.

Other side tyre is even all the way across

Sorry yes that was a crap answer.

From a quick look there is no noticeable difference between sides and the passenger side tyre ( which was changed at the same time as the damaged one ) is showing no signs of inner wear.

The car is a Jaguar XF which according to Google has no Camber adjustment on the rear.

In that case it seems likely that something is wrong with the set-up, you need to start with getting the rear suspension checked out and any errors fixed, then a full geo set up done.

First off, it's a lack of driver inspection to have got so far.

But as others say, it could be alignment, a worn component etc etc.

If one side, mostly likely a worn bush or joint, or even worn shocks can sometimes cause very strange tyre wear.

Or the car could be bent silly
