Fleet - XKR, 986, R129, TT mk1 etc....
Discussion
Hi all.
Having read these forums for many years, but never posted, I thought I would try posting a thread on my current cars.
If there is any interest I am really happy to answer questions or give more details.
I have had all sorts over the years, but this is the current line up.
1) Jaguar XKR 2010 67k. 2 owners from new. Have been the lucky owner of this lovely car for 4 years. Kind of a high days and holidays car. Been on 2 memorable road trips - alps, France, Switzerland etc and in September 2020 did nc500 which was stunning. The photo below shows the Cuillin ridge on beautiful Skye, and my mate’s 987 gen2 Boxster S. Really nothing like it on the right road, beautifully balanced, snarling 5 litre v8 and so much power.

986 Boxster S 2003
Was not really looking for one of these, but my next door neighbour, having owned it from new offered it to me, after a lowball offer from Porsche OPC when buying a new 718 Boxster S. 28k when I bought it, now on 46k with no real issues save some new coil packs, a power steering hose and new half shaft to cure an overactive ABS fault. Owned since 2017. Again, several European roads trips under its belt, the best of which was the Pyrenees in 2019.

R129 300sl. My newest acquisition this summer. 41k from new, cream leather interior and lovely factory paint all round. Bought to replace a slightly ratty 1997 320sl 116k example I found cheaply from a private seller close to home. This one drives as well as it looks, feels 3 not 30 years old....

1999 TT Mk1 convertible 225.
This is currently residing with my Dad in Suffolk. Found it privately, one owner from new and the fullest Audi MD history I have ever seen (all Basingstoke Audi) Owned since 2018. 46k when bought, only 49k now. Just had a little body work done on the sill covers, but otherwise factory paint all round. Has the baseball leather which is wearing beautifully.

......That’s the lot. Family and work duties are shared between a 2013 Skoda Superb estate bought new and on 88k which is a brilliant workhorse, and a 2015 f56 Mini Cooper (don’t laugh, it’s actually a great car to drive) and has covered a trouble free 45k since bought new.
Thanks for looking at this and am happy to answer any questions if there is any interest.
