I hope that your friend's op goes well and they recover quickly. I had what was referred to as major surgery in Rennes at the end of last year and was very pleased with both the treatment and the result. Only complaint would have been the tasteless excessively healthy food. The understandable no-visiting regs were a pain, but I was able to send a pic to family whilst I was still in the recovery room.......
