Forester Cross Sports Wishbone/Control arm

Hello, I'm wondering if anyone is able to help please.

I have a 2006 Forester Cross Sports import and the control arm on the passenger side needs replacing after a little accident but I'm coming across conflicting information so I'm not sure what I need.

Would a control arm from a standard UK SG Forester fit? I've been told no because of a bracket for the headlight levelling.

I've also read it has the same control arm as the SG9 STI Forester?

Any help would be appreciated.

You need an arm from a 2004-2006 model that has HID lights. STi have alloy arms - I'm presuming that all lesser models have steel arms, so you'd have to replace both sides. Check the arm - if it's alloy then an STi arm should be the same.

They're definitely not STI ones then.

I have some blobeye impreza ones that I thought would fit but been told by my mechanic they won't.

I've ordered one from Ebay that's described as Forester 02-08...hopefully it's the correct one.

if you don’t succeed then i will see what i have , i broke a forester sti sg9 2004 , and i may still have the alloy arms left but i’m not sure , could take a bit of digging to see if i do have them still

Would appreciate it if you could find them and let me know what you want for them.

As it turns out, it was originally manufactured with STI control arms, someone then replaced one side (the one that needs replacing) with a standard steel one.

So I'll be looking to replace it eventually.
