The PH Shooting Thread

As it says, what do you shoot with and what do you shoot at.

I'll start off:

Beretta Silver Pigeon III, clays, pigeons, crows etc.

Not sure exactly but I've shot with something that looked like a G10 air pistol. Only shot apples, cans, bottle lids etc.
Once I figured out how to aim properly I didn't have a bad shot!!!

Used to shoot handguns until HMG in its infinite wisdom decided to steal everyones guns. Dabbled in clays (mainly DTL and Skeet), rifle (just .308/7.62 at Bisley) and pistol calibre carbines for a while after '97. Not shooting anything at the moment but a return to clays beckons before long...

I used to have a Weihrach .22, which I shot everything with. I've shot various shotguns at clay events, but must admit to enjoying the Charles Bronson image of the pump action. You get loads of shots at the damned clay too

Nowadays I limit myself to shooting at birds with my pump action single-barrelled man-goo shotgun.

Rarely get the chance to shoot either these days.

Whatever I can get my hands on, as often as I can!

But mainly nowadays Number 8 target rifle, L98, L85, L81... I'd love to get back into clay shooting, haven't done it in a good few years, but used to do it competitively when I was younger. Had a shot gun cert at 14, and Dad used to run a gun shop, as well as doing consultancy and development for quite a few police forces and other parties, so I grew up all around weapons in general. Spent a few winters as a beater too on a local syndicate.

I'm sure there was talk of this a while ago, but i'd be up for a PH Clay Day or something, if there's enough interest... Rough shooting too - anyone in Herts/Beds/Bucks?

I've been considering getting back into shooting. Used to do a LOT of Wood Pigeon shooting with a .22 air rifle. (Used to clear out a friendly local farmer's barns for him!)

Did some shooting with a 12 gauge - but never owned one.

Considering getting back into shooting via the clays route. Had a go a few years back, enjoyed it, and it seemed I couldn't miss! Sheer beginner's luck of course...

Have shot 7.62 at Bisley many times, affiliate member of LMRA through school assoc but not been recently. Also shot .22 many times

Anyone here go up Bisley at all?

Id be up for that. only ever done clay pidg shooting before but would be good to have another crack at it..

I'm in St Neots (nr Bedford) and would certainly be interested. I used to do a lot of clay shooting back in my teens with my Dad (along with rabbit, pidgeon etc for dinner) and used to be fairly good. I haven't shot a 12 for over 10 years now so I may be a touch rusty.
I also used to do a lot of rat work on a local farm with my .22, great fun!!
Alternatively is there enough interest how about a PH paintball event?

unfortunately - g/f won't allow guns of any sort in the house so I can't have one of my Dads spare 12s, would anybody supply a spare/allow me to borrow theirs if we did run this?

Used to shoot a Paramount 7.62 target rifle over distances between 200 and 1000 yards. Bullseye at the latter distance is 14 inches across! One puff of wind and you can be out by 10+ feet.

Still havnt bought the fully auto M4 airsoft rifle, which I was planning on shooting seagulls with. Im not partial to gullcrap upon my vehicle
