Sawbridgeworth - Clay Pigeon

Hello,

I'm planning a day of Clay's in Sawbridgeworth (j7-8 M11) for part of my brothers stag do. Wondering if anyone knows the area and can recommend eating/drinking establishments in the area or near by?

I'm going to be visiting the area to scout it out but some recommendations wouldn't go amiss!

Not sure if either would be suitable for a a stag do but a coupls of eatery suggestions

The Goose Fat and Garlic (French Bistro type restaurant ) Not too pricey, quite nice.

The Straw House (Fairly posh Thai/ Chinese) Fairly pricey. I didn't really think much of it but think they may cater for private parties here.

Any good eatery will suit really, this part of the day is for the older members of the group (read: dad/uncle's) once we've fed them they'll prob disappear home whilst the rest of us head out.

go to nearby hertford or bishops stortford. Hertford in particular has more pubs than you can shake a very large stick at and the usual aray of curry houses, thai, ect ect, and a few very very nice restaurants.
