Finally after some 7 months of sweat and tears I had the engine running today :D

What a feeling, it was such a buzz it was untrue!

Thanks to all the guys on here for answering my posts however stupid they may have been, I couldn't of done it without your help.

Now the proof will be a quick drive down the road but I have to wait till the baby is asleep :(

Just popped up the drive and back and that made me smile like goodness knows what.

Found a small oil leak from the sandwich plate so will have ro remove filter to tighten

But hey, that's why we only drive a small bit at a time.

Will send the SVA paperwork off tomorrow, my local SVA centre were quoting a 2-4 wait

Took mine up to the factory this morning to have the body pre-fit

Hopefully not too much longer before engine is installed and I can start thinking about registering it!

Shed load of work yet to do though, most of it self-inflicted of course

Why the hell don't I ever stick to the 'factory' spec
