BMW X5M - 2011 - 2013

Hi all,

In the position where Im considering buying one of these. Been searching the net to try and find either a good buyers guide or owner's experiences. Anyone here got a X5M - e70 ? Any issues ? common things that go wrong ?

Its a hot V and the examples Im looking at have 50K miles and above so am wondering if the heat eventually kills out pipes / plastics go brittle ?

What's the ownership experience like ?

Is the engine the same in the E70 and yours ? 4.4 twin turbo ? Any issues with yours ?

If you could stretch to an F85 it is a much better resolved car, where the problems of the first generation S63 engine and the gearbox (8 speed) were addressed.
