Wheely bins - how many bags?

Due to the Govenments target of recycled waste management thingy, and the only people to benefit are the bin makers (!) , I was wondering how many plastic bags does it take to make a bin? 1000,2000 10,000? any ideas?

Being a pedantic git here (hey, it's friday afternoon and I haven't been to the pub yet, so you've got to expect it really) bins and plastic bags are made from different plastics, so you should be asking how much oil is taken to make bins vs plastic bags

But the bins are recycled every week when they get emptied. The bags would go into landfill and be a waste of oil that could be turned into petrol!

Edit: Assuming 4 bags every week for 10 years thats 2,080 bags. Thats a lot of bags!

No - the component of oil refined into petrol is different to that refined into plastics.

Can you process it though so that it can be turned into petrol? Or is it so far out of line that it cant be adjusted.
