Euro4/5

So whats the situation with a bike now with Euro4/5. Is it possible to run a performance exhaust system and no cat fitted aftermarket or is this something that will fail an MOT? Is it only the tailpipe that can be legally changed now?

As far as I’m aware, Euro4/5 regulations relate to the manufacturers responsibility in selling bikes that meet the requirements. MOTs don’t test for emissions for motorbikes so as long as the tester doesn’t think your pipe is too loud you can crack on son

Thats good to know as some of the new bikes lately have ridiculous sized systems. Trying to also cut down on heat too from the cats.

Just the usual to watch out for, any markings that state not for road use, track only etc need to be covered up
