C5 / C6 and ULEZ

Does anyone know from which point Corvettes are ULEZ compliant?

It seems that as imports they are deemed not compliant until you prove that they are but it is not clear to me which meet the standards.

I've got to say I'm amazed when I put my 'plate into the Gov website checker it came back as ULEZ compliant!! No idea about the previous generations though.

Does seem bizarre that my Mrs' Mini Countryman isn't compliant, yet my 650bhp yank tank is!

Is it really? I put in as a test both a 2019 C7 and a 2008 C6, both of which I thought should be compliant, and it came back as saying they are not. It seems that for imports they don't have data so you need to prove it is compliant and it is assumed non-compliant until you do so. I can't tell how to tell if a C5 or C6 meet the emissions standards or not ...

The ULEZ standards themselves are a bit odd, my 2001 2.5 v6 75 that is averaging 18mpg is compliant but my old 2000 2.5 v6 156 was not.

That makes me even more baffled as to how mine passes then!
It does come up as a "Yellow Chevrolet" on the Gov website but I'm not going to start questioning it!

My 2007 corvette c6 comes up as ulez compliant, but it’s not an import, it’s a victory edition made for UK market.

Something that is new to me - there are LHD cars first sold in the UK?

Just checked mine and it is ULEZ compliant.
It is a 2007 C6 Z06, supplied by Stratstones.

My 2008 C6 (6.2) comes up as compliant too

My '68 is 'Historic' and now except from needing an MOT test. And being more than 40 years old qualifies for zero charge rfl. It is not exempt from the daily congestion charge - but should be exempt from ULEZ - however run the registration number through TFL's 'checker' (really friggin' contradictory place this is!) and it shows this

07:00-22:00, every day, except Christmas Day (25 December)

ULEZ charge
Exempt
24 hours a day, every day, except Christmas Day (25 December)

Based on the vehicle details entered and information held by the DVLA and TfL today, this vehicle is exempt from the ULEZ charge. This may change - always check to see if you need to pay to drive within the zone.

Note the words "This may change"

The point I am getting to is - if in doubt about your vehicle status contact them - its a rubbish website and designed to confuse and catch out the unwary. Bottom line is that all petrol vehicles from 2005 are exempt from the ULEZ and seemingly so are some 2001-2005 vehicles.
