Morning all.
I have had a good price for my Toyota Hilux from a couple of those car buying sites.
Has anyone dealt with any of them. My price seems really good, was wondering if it’s just a price to lure you in then they give you a much lower price when they actually see it.
Any replies greatly appreciated.
Just seems less hassle than selling private.

Regards.

Dave.

Good price to lure you in then it'll plummet due to work needed. That they never do anyway.

I sold a car to them in Feb this year, WBAC, as long as you mention on the site the mileage and any damage etc that it asks for then they won't be able to knock you down and I didn't get knocked down, I took it in for the same valuation as online and the money was in my bank not long after.

If you leave out that the nearside door and wing are keyed then they will of course knock you down £200- 600+.

Just be open when getting the valuation and they will pay what they said they will.

Good luck!

Thanks for replies.
It is probably one of the best condition on the road, regularly valeted and detailed. Nothing at all that should not effect the price given.
Cheers.

Try somewhere like Jamjar, you get dealers offering and outbidding each other. They come to you to collect usually, which i think means less likely to knock you down, as its no skin off your nose to say thanks but no thanks and close the door.

Did this with my mums car, got a decent price and wasn't haggled down. Actually had a few emails from dealers trying to outbid each other.

Thanks for that.
Never knew about them, will give them a go, sounds good.

Selling privately, can be bloody hassle sometimes, dealing with chancres.
Part ex at a dealer against something else, the word screwed comes to mind.

So, thought I would try something different this tie.

Cheers again.
