Don’t get anything ‘cheap’ as in a toy shop special or something from Lidl.
Stick to recognised brands like Skywatcher, Celestron, Meade, Vixen, etc. They do entry level scopes for beginners and not too expensive either. Failing that a decent set of binoculars will help you go far in picking bits and pieces out of the night sky (just don’t expect close ups of Saturn

)I would be going for a dobsonian for a new starter scope...go-to functionality scopes are great but can divert lots of time to getting them set up correctly and working and lead to lots of frustration.
Head over to the stargazer lounge and read their intro to observing to ensure your expectations of what you can see are not too high. They also have a decent second hand section
