I spent a considerable amount of the Tuscan race purely admiring Steve's fantastic skill.
He undoubtedly had the best lines round the circuit and is a very skilled driver technically.
Obvious statements you might think, but consider this. I watched the first 7 laps opposite Goddards and no-one else had the same line as Steve and no-one else was as quick through it. Interesting reading his comments in Sprint about corner speed last month as he demonstrated this superbly at a corner which demands precise entry speed to get a tight enough line to be able to defend position and maintain enough corner speed not to be mullered down the straight.
Then watching him save it through Schanz (we got there just as the engine failure occured resulting in a line of oil on the racing line) was priceless. Many didn't save it. Then his adapted approach and exit through Schanz into the Macleans again was stunning.
No real wonder he is the champion again. Looking forward to next year....

Couldn't resist a topic with my name on it,many thanks for the compliments Johno,Yellow Peril[love to pauline]and Hangerd,it all got a bit slippy in the second race,if it looked entertaining from the outside you should have been sitting where I was,anyway we still managed a win. I have thanked all the people close to me for a fantastic season,but I would personally like to thank all the people who turn up to watch the tuscan series,especially the TVR car club members,your support means a lot to me and the CDL team,
