Bmw 3 series vs ford focus

I know these 3 cars are not comparable as they are completely different categories but still looking for everyone’s opinion on this.

Im looking for a new car preferably a 335d and have been looking for a long time with no luck as cannot find the spec and colour i want and feel if spending that kind of money for a car out right i dont want to be just settling for what out there in the wrong colour and spec. These price around 21-24K for a lci model for similar spec i am looking for.
The focus titanium x has all the bells and whistles you can ask for which i have seen good examples ranging from 9-11k
Do i save 10+ k and go for the focus and is the bmw 10+ k more of a car then the ford is it worth the waiting around for the right car to come around?

I went from an E87 120D to a Mk3 Focus ST to an M140i. For me, the BMW is noticeably better built and feels a step up in terms of quality and fit/finish whilst also being more driver focused with a better driving position and more composed on the road. Saying that, the Ford is still a decent proposition and a nice steer with lots of toys, but I think if you've set your heart on the BM you'll never be happy unles you buy it. Fords (RS models aside) are also not known for holding their value!

What colour/spec 335d are you after - I have a friend selling 2016 MSport Plus up here in North Wales.
I had a Mk3 Focus RS which I ran alongside the 2015 330d company car - great car on the perfect road, not so great everywhere else and it felt terrible after we swapped the 330d for a G20 330e. It might not be fair to compare both together but it started to get to me and that's how I've ended up with a 2018 M3 instead of it.
I think you'd always hanker after the 335d.

Thank you for the replies guys. It does get a little frustrating sometimes as have been looking for a while and still haven’t found the right car (the 335d) which just makes me think to buy a standard car and just live with it for a couple years and save the extra money for something else as could buy 2 fords for the price of the bmw 😭
Im am in an extreme case of 2 minds and head of heart. Always loved bmws and have driven fords which are really good everyday cars.

The spec i want is probably why I have not found what im looking for. -split folding rear seats

- heated seats
- sunroof
-Reverse camera with park assist
- m sport brakes
-Wireless charging and bluetooth
- harmon kardon sound system
-icon adaptive headlights
Basically a fully optioned car and the only reason why is because there was one for sale with all this for 21k at bmw which i missed out on as was to late someone already put a deposit on the car the time I found it and called up.

They do have them on some however they arent the same as the m3 which has xenons with leds. The f30 have the leds backed with halogen along with the adaptive elements built in. M3 lights are far superior in comparison!You could just spend £11,000 on a BMW 3 series.
Have largely the same experience you would have had if you'd spent £21,000 and save a load of cash on depreciation over the course of ownership.
(TBH, I wouldn't spend anything like £11,000 on a Focus or a 3 series, but I'm assuming that cheaper options are outside of the realms of what you want to discuss.)

But will sound like a tractor, look like a photocopier engineer and still be driving a boxy 4 door saloon.As mentioned above try the 330d, its not as quick but feels a nicer car to drive the 340i would be a nicer car though.
Split folding seats maybe a hard find on a saloon, if you want to only spend 10-12k on a nicely spec'd (settling for it car) saloon then get one of these:
