Cheap 2 car combo

Just picked up a MX5 to use as a fun weekend driver. Was planning to run alongside a 2003 Honda Jazz as a daily but thats just had the cat stolen, just after breaking down on me on the M4 this past weekend. So I'm getting rid of it.

Any suggestions on a family car for road trips and general daily running. Not too confident in maintenance, I take my cars to garages so something where parts are cheap ideal. £2K max budget, no more than £185 on tax and cheap to insure.

ZX10R NIN - How well has the Honda aged! I’m always surprised at how much car it is now possible to buy for such reasonable amounts of money.

I like the Accord but it would be the Mazda6 in 2.5 Sport spec that would get the nod, but you're right what you can get for 2K is impressive.
