Interesting question I would have turned in as he did and mashed the brake pedal who knows if that would have made any difference.
Reminds me of the F50 in the US that skidded off the arena and down some steps in to a cafe.
Think F50 was in Monaco unless two similar incidents.Reminds me of the F50 in the US that skidded off the arena and down some steps in to a cafe.

So, aside from keeping on the driving aids, what should the driver have done?
I'll admit I'd have turned into the skid just like he did.
Should he have hit the brakes hard and let the ABS give the front end some grip?
Happy to hear the armchair pilots on this one for sure :-D
He reacted about 5 years too late to the back end stepping out in the first place, then when he finally awoke from his coma he threw on way too much lock, then didn't counter correct anywhere near fast enough when it snapped back.I'll admit I'd have turned into the skid just like he did.

Could have stayed full throttle with ESP off if he knew how to use the steering wheel.
Tl;dr - react faster and appropriately, not late and excessively..

Not this video again! This gets dug up every few months. There was a thread at the weekend where someone suggested it was Brighton. It wasn’t.
Bear in mind some of us have not seen it before. I for one havnt. A bit like if I started one now saying “ shock news, Princess Di has shuffled off this mortal coil.
