Im in Rhodes !!!

Hope you are all enjoying the inclemant British weather ;)

I have been doing nothing but lurking in the sea and in various bars - fantastic.

One thing I will say about Rhodes compared to the UK is that - NOBODY CARES!!! No-one is nannying, yeah ok there are some holes in the pavement that people COULD trip over, and there are no barries round some harbour areas so people COULD fall in - BUT PEOPLE DONT!

Bad side is that this is not a petrolhead haven! every car has a dink in it, noone seems to care about scuffing bumpers which is why I didnt bother to hire a car ;)

If there were jobs taht could pay me a living over here, I would probably do it. Stress has just fallen off since leaving blighty!

If you're in Rhodes town there's a Swedish cycle shop that hires out Harleys.... Yes, it's a cycle shop in a basement.

It's worth hiring one just to see them get it up the stairs on a plank

I invented an extremly nutritous recipe based on spam in that harbour (Mandraki harbour, I think?).

I'd recommend a trip down to the acropolis at Lindos, if you haven't been there already. Beach w/ bar and above it on the top of the cliffs, the acropolis w/ temple to Athena. Awesome setting. None of the English style archaeology-in-a-bog "oh look, I've found some wood". Proper bits of marble, sea views, postcards, etc.
