Apologies if done before but it seems to me that there are a lot more new designers (I'm deliberately not saying makers as they typically use readily available third party movements) around now and I'd be interested to hear everyone's thoughts on good ones.

The new Mitch Mason has prompted this post for me. I like it but probably not enough at the price point.

HELM are pretty amazing for the price, but also difficult to get hold of.

Big fan of Nick Harris and his Orion brand, wearing one of the 75 Sylphs he made today:

I'm partial to a microbrand or two.

I have a Monta Skyquest:

and a RLG Atlanticus:

(Both of these are sellers / web photos)

Very happy with both of these and I keep looking at others - not heard of Mitch Mason before - new names seem to pop up constantly.

Zelos are a bit like that, availability might be better if there weren’t so many sent out to YouTubers...

There is a great page on Facebook called the league of micro watch brands.

Some really nice stuff on there. I've got a few micro brand watches myself and just love the fact they can do things the bigger brands normally wouldn't.

I have had many micro brands over the years (during and around the major brands I've owned oo) and currently have a Baltic Aquascaphe which I really like. MBs finishing quality these days is top notch, and they even regulate movements way beyond say STP or Miyota spec. Baltic adjust to 4 positions and print out an average-accuracy slip from 6 positions.

Other favs of mine are Marloe, Orion, Maen, Yema, Traska (they have a 122v hardness coating on their SS case and bracelet, most watches are around 200...), Brew, Halios, Helson to name a few.
