How many pictures you got?


..and what is the file extension?

You "should" be able to reduce them (in size), but I thought fleabay did that anyway, but maybe they're not JPEG?

Save your photos in a folder that you can find, eg on the desktop. If you're running XP, select View>Thumbnail and you should see thumbnail images in the folder. Right-click on each picure and from the resulting menu select 'resize picture'. Choose 'Medium 800x600' and click OK. It will make a copy with the same file number but (medium) afterwards.

At the weekend I wanted to sell something on Ebay for the first time. I got the same message about the picture file being too large. I tried using their software to reduce the file size. There was no indication that I had or had not successfully downloaded the software. I then disabled my firewall and everything worked after that.

..don't know if you've got the same problem.

JASC is (I believe) the way that Dell set up their pc's to open Jpegs. It will only be a trial version.

You need to change the file association or the "open with" bit , but someone else will have to tell you how , I've forgotten I'm afraid.

Edit:My computer>tools>folder options >file types(tab) and scrollto Jpeg.

I've been using the faststone image converter for some time and have no problems with it. Good software.
