does anyone have a 2-pin spark amplifier?

hi people, the only thing stopping my mini burning up the tarmac once again is the blasted spark amplifier on the dizzy which has gone tonto ie revs all over the place, tacho showing idle speed as 2500 when it's more like 1200 and lots of popping, banging and misfires...

the local garages don't have any, and i'm at a loss!

second hand or new will do, such a little part but it's so important!

so anyone got one kicking about?

certainly do, it's a 2 pin type I need.

I have a very good condition 3 pin jobby that i'll trade if you like, I bought one before realising that there are two different types d'oh!

yup got a S/H one you can hav (stella ) it has two pins into dist nd two pins for coil wires . mail me nd ill post it.

dont forget to tuck your tie in as well . try nd put some of the grease from ur old one onto that one where it mates the dizzy.

did the grease but forgot about the tie and had to bin it

also dirtied my shirt something horrific!

I put a new coil on as well and it's running rich still but ever so sweetly now, I went up to the PH meet at matlock bath at a severe rate of knots

tell you what, it's a great feeling fixing my own car, especially when I think that 18 months ago i'd have gotten depressed and rang to book it in the garage
