New Covid Rules
Discussion
From MSUK:
“-there is now the requirement for all participants to wear a face mask in all areas of the venue at all times
-the removal of individual personal exemptions from wearing a face mask; these persons will no longer be allowed to attend Motorsport UK events
- enhanced powers for COVID-19 Officers, Clerks of the Course and Stewards to intervene and penalise any transgressions
- reducing the maximum number of marshals per post to 6. “
Any thoughts?

Yes.
Ok it's silly. I can support the idea of masks in indoor areas, but not in a fundamentally outdoors sport.
Not even well worded, "mask". So are balaclava's, helmets now not acceptable? does a "mask" have to be worn over the top of a balaclava and helmet combo, in the middle, or underneath the lot

It's a measure to keep motorsport happening and they clearly had to do something quite quickly (there might have been direction from the government on that), but it's also lacking detail and clarity. Watch this space I guess..
As I have said earlier, clubs will publish their own specific instructions, for each event. As they have done since events started up.Drumroll said:

As expected, BARC has already provided some clarification. It’s a mask or covering and you’ll be allowed to eat / drink in designated areas. All sensible.Motorsport UK have revised their last message and have produced this: https://www.motorsportuk.org/wp-content/uploads/20...
So no change regarding people who are ‘medically exempt’ (I realise this is a grey area). MSA have always been a ‘we’re in charge, do as I say or else’ organisation. At times I agree with Groucho Marx about clubs (and btw I fully support government regs, but MSA like to be a law unto themselves).

Entering a building to eat food, borderline not sensible seeing as I doubt Covid will distinguish between people walking around vs people eating.

Except for "Elite Sport", then I would agree. No club meetings. No track days. BTCC is on. Probably nothing else.
Just had this confirmed by email from MSUK.Shame, but expected.
