Popping and banging

Been out and about blasting around in the great weather the last few evenings and notice the overrun is more more vocal the usual.

I normally get the odd bang, but the last few nights Im getting huge bangs (from the exhaust that is :))

Is it something to do with the exhaust being hotter than usual.

Not concerned ,just curious.

The Cerbera boys are also commenting about more popping and banging in this hot weather.

It may be the humidity causing more unburnt fuel into the exhaust on the overrun due to sligthtly repressed combustion.

The cerb normally pops and bangs like an overloaded bunker of wartime machinegunners, its fantastic stuff

But the hot weather has turned the car into an exploding nuclear reactor of sorts. More bangs, and louder too

Yes....I have noticed my S3 is popping and banging more now it has got warmer ....I thought it was going wrong or something...I wont know of course until it gets colder again..Paul.

My V8S also seemed to bang most on changeup. Its all good stuff

My V8S had a spate of sounding like I was engaged in a drive-by shooting just before it got really hot....cleaned up th eplugs etc. and it seems much better

I was out in the S last night and she pops after I lift off and change down then go back on the gas again. It's a lovely sound!

I've noticed that I get a nicer burble around 1500-2000 rpm in this hotter weather.
