How do I post pictures?????????

Please can someone tell me how to post pictures on P.H.
To be honest I am completely useless with a computer and all the jargon ,so make it simple.
I have the pictures stored in "my pictures" and my pc run microsoft xp pro.

I was about to ask exactly the same question so thanks for the answer. I expected them to upload to Teds server but they obviously don't.

Well you can't see it when posted, but it's as simple as ending up with both [url] and [pic]. You only need the [pic]

No-but-yeah-but-no-but...

In fairness, there are plenty of little trips for the unwary. Ending up with some "www-http-url-type" glitch is as easy as anything.

I have inadvertantly posted gerzillions of links on here only to find that some people get the pics and some get the pesky little red crosses.
