One BIG meet/event
Discussion
Has anyone ever tried to organise one large meet where all regions are invited. Seems that a lot of events are setup for locals, e.g. Kent, or Bmth.
Would anyone else think it a good idea to arrange something like this. I was thinking of somewhere Central UK, so that everyone had no more than a medium length journey, to get to it.
It would then be upto others to then organise local areas to get there either as a group or individually.
Not sure it would be possible this year, as I would expect it to need a fairly long lead time to enable the large turn out required to justify the effort. Was thinking maybe a Summer weekend.
What do people think.

Depending on location I'd be up for this. Do you realise what you've set-up for yourself mate... well volunteered by the way
Thinking about it, the next PH Virginia Waters meet (sorry Andy and the Northern lot, bit of a trek for you), might be a good excuse for us to get together.

I was thinking somewhere like Milton Keynes.
Loads of large open Car Parks around the Shopping Centre. Possibly the Central Milton Keynes Railway station Car park on a Sunday.
MK has loads of easy access, primarily the M1, but also close to the M40, A34 and so fairly easy to get to from North, South and West, but East aint to hot.
Anyone have any better ideas ?

Agree, Bruntingthorpe that day was quite a sight, that was the first meet I went to and only arrived just in time for the convoy having missed the entire day and all the local convoys to the site, small matter of 2 hangovers, no map and a poor sense of direction!
Bogie I actually believe your black and gold monster was behind me (I was in the silver S2 with the missus - if you have a good memory I think you were with a mate). Have you now progressed to a supercharged Honda lump?
Great idea though bb. Half the fun of a well located central meeting point is all of the individual convoys coming from all corners of the country, and even sometimes from across the channel! As I said before must look great from the air as all the loti converge from different directions.
And with that I am off for an open top blat round Epping...

Please tell me there isnt really a world record for a Lotus Convoy
Surely the SELOC events only attract Southern owners. Or at least the vast majority of attendees would be.
Piston Heads is more national for starters and less "Clicky" as well. I do use SELOC, but purely as a information source. I very rarely post as the people that do seem to have their own little club within a club
