Hey Jeff,
I am told that the first units have been released to my distributor and could be there in a week or so. Luckily, I am first on their waiting list of potential customers. Your numbers are correct; $15k retail, $13k street.
All signs point to the LS7 making huge power in the future with a cam and headers swap. The stock cam is WAY too small for those heads. Time will tell if the manifold can flow enough to support a larger cam.

builder,
what hp do you expect with header and cam swap? the ls7 makes about 500hp stock iirc.

Anyone know the best way/place to get one in the UK?
I can't see the local Vauxhall dealer having these on his stocklists...
Don't forget you will need to sort out engine management and mapping.
Boosted.
That's ok, I'm a programmer by trade, and handy with a soldering iron as well...
Any ideas of what a good unit would be to suit the engine... Motec/Wolf/Autronic... sugestions welcome...
Also, of course there are a few decent engine tuners over here, who'd probably like to have a shot at one...

Motec is compatible with the internal lsx trigger wheel so I think that's a good candidate plus Motec have maps you can use. Wolf is a bit basic but benefits from a hand held calibrator. Autronic is meant to be good but I've not used it. I also like the DTAfast.

I'd give serious consideration to a www.megasquirt.info. Sequential injection is *way* overrated though it does allow better idle emissions. Future upgrades to Megasquirt II will allow for sequential injection. Jeff Schartz' LS6 is powered by a Holley C950 which also just does batch injection.
And if it sucks you're only down £150 or so and a bit of rewiring (and trust me you'll have plenty of buyers if you want to sell it on ebay!).

I agree with this in many ways. I'm quite happy with batch fire but sequential systems usually allow for individual cylinder adjustments which could be useful. The megasquirt has a lot of BB support on their site.

There are a few people who've run MS with progressive NOS. The MS system has a dual-table system. This allows you to hook up pretty much anything to one set of injector drivers and map the flow against the same parameters (MAP and rpm) that are used for fuel calcs. This is ideal for fun things like water injection, progressive NOS, etc.
The stock MAP sensor can handle 2 bar which will be more than you would need for 20 psi boost. You can get an upgrade to 3 and 4 bar sensors which will (and do) handle absurd amounts of boost.
The megasquirt would quite happily fuel a boosted, NOS enhanced LS7. However I think you'd be more likely to have problems in the gearbox, driveshaft and tyre department...

Pete,
There's a chap on here that could well help, can't find his ID but I know I have it at home.
He works with/sells Holdens and is currently working on a LS Ultima IIRC.
Will mail you later.
Michael
He works on my HSV, I've seen the Ultima he has built in various stages on my visits. His name is Mark & his website is www.lindenspecialvehicles.com He knows a great deal about chevy engines. Top bloke as well.
