With the 2.9% deals on m cars at the moment has anyone bought through the bmw approved used website?

Is it easy just pay the deposit and they call to arrange a delivery or do you have to still go in to sign the paper work?

Quite tempted to buy online and save all the hassle of declining all the extras they push.

Buying used with no test drive. I know what I want so no need for a test drive.

I initially registered my interest online, but the dealer quickly called me, then we engaged over the phone and via email.
The hard sell quickly came on some stuff, but to be fair, they have to do some of it because of legislation and law.

Overall the process was pretty painless, and they gave me a good trade-in value, even without seeing my existing car. So, I had a great experience.

Yes. I’ve bought a few cars totally unseen, an M6, 911 and a few Range Rovers and had them delivered (even arranged part-ex remotely). I wouldn’t do anything other than manufacturer approved used. However I always ask for a really detailed description of any chips and marks on the car and get them to confirm that any extras which are critical to me really are on the car. Never had an issue. I’ve always lost a little bit on the part ex since I guess they build in a safety margin for not having seen it. I’m quite time poor and hence works for me.

That conversation took less than 10 seconds when I bought the M2. They offered, I said no, the end. Not a big issue at all.

What's the price negociation like online though?

I don’t think there is much movement on approved used. Though the car I was eyeing up as gone and don’t fancy spending 60k on an x3m Comp so will wait a little longer

I see you have an svr was very tempted by one but couldn’t get the figures to work. I don’t like spending much over £500 a month on a car typically but was seriously tempted by the svr

Hi. I wanted an SVR since they came out and watched the prices fall for a couple of years before getting one. Great car, really comfy, properly quick and fun to drive. It’s also (weirdly) half the insurance cost of the diesel Range Rover sport I had previously!
