Heritage not Hate!!!! It finally destroyed itself on the way back looking more and more frayed as the journey went on. Amazing how many comments it got though, especially from americans!

On the photos theme, I took loads despite my lack of attendance on Sunday, but can't distribute them until next weekend when I will be home and have access to the internet.

"Wow, never expected to see that flag here" & " Do you know what that flag represents?". They quite clearly had no idea of that anyone outside of the Good Ole USA would have an inkling about it. One of them asked me to stand by my car holding the flag out so that he could show his mates when he got back home. Said they would never believe him otherwise!!!!

Yes, incredible huh?
You know how many of 'em don't hold a valid passport?
I don't but I do know it's a flippin lot.
I was just curious if you got any PC attitude but you were probably too far south for that.

Don't those same said Yanks know the Dukes of Hazard?

Apart from the ever lovely Daisy Duke [yes, tight denim shorts ] the old General Lee with the confederate flag on its roof if I remember was one of my favourite childhood shows.

The horn (I wanted one for my bike!) and the climbing through the windows. And Boss Hogg's Cadillac too.

Err... I think I've just psycho-analysed myself :-) and my love of American metal

I read somewhere that 63% of the American Senate do NOT own a passport! That has to say something.

Didn't get any criticism, it was more amazement that anyone outside of the Carolinas would be aware of the flags existence! I must admit I was surprised but then we also got several people "Whistling Dixie" as we cruised past!
