Hi,
Can anyone recommend a good body shop / painter near Birmingham / Sutton Coldfield.
I've used Manhattan Motors in Coventry previously, but they appear to have closed for good.
Any recommendations?

No way! Used them a few times over the years, and always my go-to recommendation.

Now looking for someone really good and old school to deal with some rusty arches. Not a cheap fix to sell job but a permanent repair on a keeper, cutting out old and letting in new metal.
I'm in Stratford, anyone know anywhere who could deal with this?

I've done some digging. Manhattan Motors was taken over by a company called Auto Bodyworx. I spoke to a chap [the owner I think] called Lee when I was enquiring about some work, just before lockdown.
I believe they are based at the same garage in Coventry, but haven't got a clue if the same group of guys still works there?
Let us know if you find anywhere else PositronicRay.

Id be quite happy to find someone who could just do the metalwork then organise paint independently. Although I know it'd get a bit "he said, she said" if it came to warranty.
I was thinking maybe I'm on the wrong track with bodyshops. So I'll look at restoration places, not sure if they'd be wanting to take on bread and butter jobs though.
Next time I'm over that way, I'll pop in to see these guys.

PositronicRay, did you get the arches on your car sorted in the end? I'm in need of a similar service so on the lookout for a good Midlands based bodyshop.
Currently I'm thinking of speaking to Farriers Jaguar in Leicester and Northfield Jaguar in Brum as both have bodyshops and are obviously pretty clued-up on all things S-Type.
