What car do you always get stuck behind?
Discussion
The thrill of summer and open top motoring in the wonderful 'liz. I find most cars see you storming up in the lotus and do thier best to get out the way. Some git will always ruin it and they will always ruin it just as you approach the perfect set of bends. What car do you always get stuck behind?
The car that makes me grit my teeth and has me questioning how closley related the drivers parents are, is MX5's. It is a sports car! Get a move on or get out the way!
Volvo 340's Arrrggghhh
I should point out that I am close to the pensioners final resting place. They all hover around here, killing time untill the time is up. Generally most of the windscreens around here are bi-focal.

Not really stuck behind but my most hated car is the BMW 320d. In Belgium this is the most common fleet commercial car. Some people change companies only to get the 320d... So some of them believe they finally got the power (usually moving from VW passat 1.9) and wanted to race everything...
In Lotus, you have to expect everything from them...even when you park they would like to compeet to take your spot....

I do get stuck behind to odd car that does 45mph while there's a lot of oncoming traffic then floors it to 80 when it's clear. This leads me to think I just happened to catch them at a bad time... until the next bend / car / bunny / badger / bird / twig at which point they drop the anchors. This behaviour doesn't seem limited to a car type, but to the kind of people that flash like mad when you overtake them, as though it's against the law or just plain bad-form.
I always find that other people's idea of a hairpin corner is something I would consider entering at about about 70 in 2nd and still have a lot of room for error (driving on the edge on public roads scares the bajesus out of me).
Otherwise traffic generally just melts away, even if they don't want to
The nicest thing about my current car is it's 60-100 time (getting to 60 on the other hand isn't that fantastic).

Yeah, there's no point in overtaking either - it's one long line of the slowest moving traffic you're ever likely to find on UK roads in one long nightmare line. I was recently nearly crushed when a lorry decided he didn't want me to pass on the Newmarket side of the A11 (just before the dual) - what's the point - I mean, who is going to slow who up?!

I always find on the small B/C roads the person in front pulls to the side when cars come the other way (they have to). But they never pull over for me to pass, and when I get enough room they just drift across and try to push me into the ditch as though they didn't know I was there
A few lorries have also done this, so now I just wait for them to pull off the road

It can be hugely frustrating!!
Over the weekend I got stuck behind several "constant velocity" (CV) drivers... You know the ones. They pick a speed - often 42mph, no idea why, but that's the CV sandard. It doesn't matter what the speed limit is, 30, 40, 50 or 60 - 42 is the speed they pick.
Your average CV will often be seen trailing a huge line of traffic.
CV's also group on roads, making sure that they are spread evenly and in all directions. The Red Arrows are employing CV's to organise their air displays as their ability to co-ordinate themselves to ensure no overtaking opportunity exist takes meticulous planning.

Remember.
We are part Rover.
(Unless you've got one of those flashy HEAVY new Elises)
As it happens, I now drive a different type of Rover-engined car.
I don't think the engine alone entitles you to wear a flat cap and drive like a numpty, though, especially since Honda-engined Rovers are just as likely to be seen doing a steady 30 in an NSL as Rover engined ones.
I have a feeling it's the badge on the front which is the essential passport to membership of the Arnold and Ethel Club for Incompetent Drivers.

bloody volvo's, aaaarrrgggghhh
Everytime I moved, I got stuck behind some spanner in a barsteward volvo.
The thing that annoys the pi$$ out of me is that they have these HUGE wagons and there is only ever 1 or 2 people in the oversized monster.
I am so happy that they feel safe....
grrrr

On reflection, it isn't a single make of car. What it is, is drivers with hats.
Old gits with Trilbys (Rover, Volvo)
Chavs with baseball caps (Loud but slow Saxo)
...etc
The only excuse for driving a car with a hat is if its a rag top:
Flying helmet (Messerschmit bubble car)
OR
Lotus logo cap to keep the sun off my balding dome in an Elise
