after picking up my elise on saturday (02 sports tourer)and filling it up i discovered the trip reset button doesn't seem to work.

but before i took it in to get fixed i thought i'd ask if there was something obvious i might be missing when try to use it. i'm just following the manuals instructions and pressing for less than a second and it doesn't seem to do anything. similarly when trying to dim the stack unit lights with this button it also doesn't seem to work.

finally if it is faulty is it an easy thing to get fixed? i'm guessing the dealers warrenty will cover this as it clearly didn't work before i even got it.

cheers

Really easy to get at - there's an in-line socket on the lead so you just have to pop the bottom cowl off to remove the switch. You could try shorting out the switch to see if that works...

They're a complete b*stard on both S1 and S2. Push as hard as you possibly can, and then a bit more. That should do it.

the design is s***. sometimes it works perfectly 1st time, then it needs 10 pushes. make sure the lights aren't on when you try to reset it!!!
