A free holiday? In this day and age? How can that be possible. Well thanks to Gordon Brown and the EU's secret smokers charter, it's completely possible. Not only that, but they throw in over £100 in spending money too.
Yup, you have a choice. You can spend your summer in the good old UK and pay all your tax on your smokes.... Or you can have a one week holiday in Portugal for free and still get your smokes.
Think about it, 200 fags is about £45.00 in the UK. In Portugal, 200 only cost me about £19.00 per 200. Multiply that up to the suggested 3200 ciggies, and it saves you a whopping £416.00. My week on the Algarve only cost £275.00 all in.
So, the Portugese chancellor is happy. Gordon saves money on my long term health care so he's happy. I get a sun tan and I [i]still[/i] get my smokes. Everyones a winner.
Just don't ask Gordon if it's official policy, he'd never be allowed to admit it.

How does that work then? The fags have still been bought and smoked (I presume by someone living in Britain). So the health care will still be needed but the smokers tax has not been paid.
I believe the emphasis should be on "living"

The slight flaw in your argument is that you will still be burning £320 of your hard earned money that you could spend on far better things. Your addiction is costly.
All you are doing is killing yourself more cheaply.
I do this 2 or 3 times a year.
I havent paid for a holiday yet.
Example:
Dominican Republic
2 people 4 star All inclusive 2 weeks
£1500
Dominican Price: Marlboro £8 per 200
Uk Price: Marlboro £50 per 200
So every 200 I bring back saves me £42
That is roughly 36 cartons
18 in my case, 18 in the girlfriends and a free holiday.

Totally agree, if you wanna kill yourself why not higher a hitman or take some pills..... not slowly kill yourself noone likes to die slowly, most people want to die in your sleep painlessely. not smoke your way to your grave.. must be depressing.
