My drivers door electric window struggles a bit on wind up and so I set about removing door panel to get at the track and push a bit of silicone grease into it to ease the windows passage. I removed the speaker and jammed my arm inside the door to locate the center securing nut...no joy...arm would not go in far enough.

Is the answer to this prob.. get a skinny person to help, ie a woman, or is there something I'm doin wrong...

cheers chaps...Paul.

Paul, just done this job myself last week, (note the nut in question is very small, 7mm on mine), I could not feel the nut at first just the length of thread taht its on was about an inch long. So the answer to ya question is if ya cant get yer arm in far enough to feel anything then ya need somebody skinny to help although its not as far from the speaker hole as i expected. I just slid a 7mm socket on and undid it with my fingers.
As to the slow window, mine was greatly hampered by not being aligned very well in the runners, there are a few places for adjustment ie the glass itself on the winder mechanism, bottom of both runners and the top of the forward runner on mine due to the mounting of the vertical brace bar being slotted.. I had a tinker with all of these to find the place where the drop glass was most free to move up and down. Whilst mine is still a bit slow it is a great improvement to what it was. Hope when ya get your door card off this may help a little.
Cheers,
Carl
