For a first try, that's not bad. Next year, it might just be Corvette who?

Would you like a small wager that Corvettes will finish ahead of Astons next year? I think you will find quite a few takers on this forum.......

BTW Love the look of the new DBR9S...... not sure about £175,000 for a track day car mind....

Yes we shall - but we should not forget also that this was the first LeMans with the new C6R, so we can only expect Corvette Racing to get better. :-)

You better not be trying to tell me the DBR9 team was made up of race-virgins.

Because the AM team made mistakes AND because the C6R team has experience, and only because of these factors the C6R beat DB9R??? SHEESH!!!
OR... were those the reasons why the DB9R lost to C6R???

Heat was the main reason that AM lost, it killed the car and more importantly it knackered the drivers. The Corvette guys have a form of Aircon that colls the drivers head and face and although it is not aircon as we know it makes a big difference compared with nothing which is what the Aston guys had.

David Braham looked like death as did Darren Turner when they got out of the Aston and a knackered driver

a. needs shorter stints so longer pit stops
b. isn't as quick
c. most importantly, makes mistakes.

If second place is the first loser, then what does that make third in class?

Where's Mr V12Aston??

Hiding under a bunch of sour grapes maybe.

Those racing DB9s did look fantastic though - a lovely bit of Newport Pagnell's best.

Look lovely but sound like an angry wasp locked in a biscuit tin....
