Unusual JDM imports

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone on here has any experience of the Subaru Exiga 2.0GT ? A risky buy I know as they are so rare but can be imported with very low miles very cheaply.

Never heard of it, but a bit of Googling and well.....it's not the prettiest of cars but 7 seats, could be fun. I guess it's the usual Boxer engine set up so may use parts from the usual Impreza, Forester stables??

Could be worth a punt for something different!!

Insurance might be iffy being so rare.

Very much based on the Legacy platform by the look of it.

Quick search says its an Impreza engine with a Legacy transmission and uses 50% Legacy parts

Are you looking at one in the UK already? The importer I got my legacy from has one for sale.

I put a deposit down on one of these 2 weeks ago, the GT STI though. Still waiting for it to be registered after being imported, I understand this may be anything from 1-3 months due to covid. Insurance was £680, I'm 37 years old with 4 years no claims and no convictions, not the cheapest but not ridiculous🤷🏻‍♂️
