Although it's probably not a problem until the autumn turns up I've noticed some complaints about the amount of light produced by the main lights on the Elise.

I guess the easiest and cheapest solution would be to replace the standard bulbs with some "high-performance" ones. Or is something like this needed ?

Obviously I want as much light as possible, but a brighter er clearer white/blue look would certainly look great on my Laser Blue S2 as well... Any suggestions and/or experiences ? Osram Cool Blue, Osram Silverstar Philips Blue Vision, other...?

Btw, what are the standard bulbs on the S2 ?

Get a HID kit, any of the high performance bulbs are a false economy.

i bought a set of bulbs off ebay for 6.99, cheap easy way of improving the driving experience at night. i would rather save £200 and invest it into new exhaust or something. i really cant see how they are a false economy.

I tried the Osram, and the Phillips that are both meant to give "50% more light" - rubbish. The eBay ones I have ony read others comments of but haven't heard many glowing reports about them. A HID kit on the other hand I have got installed and it is outstanding. £200 on an exhaust? That would get you three quaters of a back box, which would yield no useful gains

your correct £200 will not get an exhaust(new anyway), i suppose i should of said that the cash could of gone towards a new component
