Does anyone have experience of the Tractive system on a lightweight car? I have an Atom but Caterham or similar probably pretty relevant. Have spoken with the friendly Meteor supplier but would welcome a third party view before parting with a useful sum.

Best regards and thanks for any info, Richard

They would need to be a fair bit cheaper than Nitron and even Ohlins for me to even think about and a quick google suggests they aren’t.

I’ve just got a set of 3-ways from Tractive for my Cayman, not fitted yet and they will be for track use only so can’t tell you much other than they seem nicely made. They were a lot cheaper than Ohlins and I understand the company was set up by ex-Ohlins staff.

The UK importer is very keen on pushing Tractive over here, I can put you in touch if that’s any help?

Hi
It was quite a while since my original post. No one then knew anything about Tractive on Atoms. So having looked at the other suppliers I went with the semi-active option - supposed to be quicker acting valves than Ohlins. Main reason for doing the swap was to lose the coil crashing (the coils are too close together on the std suspension). It achieved that for sure but cant say I noticed any other advantage but then again I use the car mainly on the road or at SantaPod, rather than tracks.
What u say about the units is true - they are are nicely made and I had the coils powder coated orange which looks well nice on my silver/black car.

Doh, I hadn’t noticed the original post date boxedin

Glad thay have worked out for you, I would have used the electronic system myself but not all the series that I may race in will allow it so I’ve had to go with the traditional version.

You should get that car on track, it would be a lot of fun!!
