Hi friends,
Now my wedge is totally stripped...
.

Could you tell me where is it possible to find this metallic fishnet? and if it is used as Radio interference suppressor?

Looks similar to 'expanded metal lath' as used in the building construction industry?

There is another recent thread (Chim?) with this - it WILL require connecting to earth to work correctly

Could you just put a earth to the chassis from the aerial. Or would that not work

You will need a bit more surface area!
When my company were asked to fit radios to a rail inspection vehicle we had to put a large metal sheet (1metre x1,5 metre) under the plastic roof with the aerial mounted centrally above it to get good results. A nest earth plane would work in the same way.
You’ll need a very loud radio if you want to hear anything above the exhaust though! smile
