GT3RS Weissach
Discussion
Good afternoon,
I am looking to get into a GT3 RS Weissach at some point in the near future as a keeper and it will be used most days.
The cars on the market at present don’t seem to be shifting, maybe the JZM car the exception but there is now a similar, same mileage car appeared at Chester OPC but whether they are the same car who knows.
The overs still seem excessive and as much as I would like to purchase one of the nearly new cars available at list I can’t see that happening for a while, so just doing some homework at present.
Reason for the post, I would be interested to hear from any owners who could give me there opinions on the ownership and usage of the car, as it would be good to get direct information from people who drive these on a regular basis rather than the Internet reviews which are probably based on a few hours driving the car.
I hope someone can spare a few minutes to share there experiences, and please pm me if you prefer not to comment on the forum.

Like most buyers you probably want one with 100 or so miles on the clock ...........so not so much advice to be gleaned . To get one at list with 100 miles may be more complex but then who knows right now ...
I used mine a lot with nearly 10 k miles so worthless , but it was a lot of fun

The chester cars were two,one of them just sold by a mate through jz at strong money.I am looking to get into a GT3 RS Weissach at some point in the near future as a keeper and it will be used most days.

Need to use mine more when this has all lifted, great car so far,wp i think is a bit special and not so many around which is great.
Thanks for the reply, having used 996 GT2 as a daily I was just looking to see if they were also usable on a daily basis.
There are so many with very few miles on I was wondering if they were too uncompromising on the road, your mileage seems to answer that question.
Can I ask how highly you rated it?

Hi hunter, what’s your experience with 991.2 RS after that much seattime? (boring, effortless...);) I used mine a lot with nearly 10 k miles so worthless , but it was a lot of fun
Do you can give your comparison 991.2 RS vs. 997 RS ?

Best one for a true opinion on this is Yellow as he has had both and a handy wheelman .... The difference is progress , I think the PDK in the new RS is the highlight but others feel it is a step back from manual . Progess happens and I like the manual H paternities of the 993 GT2 R but the new cars are more effective and refined . I think Yellow has enjoyed his move from the 997 RS to a Weisach RS ..Do you can give your comparison 991.2 RS vs. 997 RS ?

I’m 7k km in on mine so a little more than 100miles on the clock... It is very easy to live with and I have been doing the essentials run every other day in it. The mag wheels are vital imo though so make sure you look out for a car with these on.
I have a winter set of normal wheels and back to back the mags really aid the ride quality. It’s hard to believe by how much. 4kg a corner doesn't seem like much but it sure makes a diff.
I wouldn’t, but you could daily the car if you needed to. The hardest part is getting in and out of the seats and that’s not really hard at all..
Budget for a new exhaust also as it transforms the experience.

The - what if, can if, only if, conversations are good value.....
I'm 3.5k into ownership and in my mind it's a fabulous everyday usable car especially with the magnesium wheels and PCCB combination.
Ultimately, at the end of the the day you get what you pay for - best of luck and more importantly enjoy!!
I tripled the mileage on my 3RS WP the other day with a 40 mil trip to the shops, I guess it's worthless now
It is like my .1 with everything refined. And I've done around 15k in my .1!
The only thing I don't like is the noise (or lack thereof), so during lockdown I've not bothered driving it much which is a shame.
I also didn't spec the mag wheels because I was going to abuse it on track for a while, and my local roads are also awful. Oh and I preferred the looks, and the 8k in my pocket....prescient perhaps.
Edit: To clarify I live in a super rural area, the trip was a bit less than 40 miles and didn't actually include any detour or unnecessary driving!

Amazing discussion...
I pick up my cars from the factory normally and in the first three weeks will have 6500km on them with a bunch of track days. Don't care about what car it is. In the end I want the experience of thrashing my cars. No exceptions. . will get my next 992RS that way.
I always thought the things were for driving hard.
Probably an illusion on my part. Still, not an investor so we are all different.

I am surprised at the exhaust note comments,as its quite noisey between 6 to 9 inside, and the need to get on track days and stay on!
They are deff for driving, its a car the needs driving, and all this mileage nonsense,i have sorned mine for now,not worth the risk in my area,3 harley,s got taken away yesterday,no tax or mot etc, police pretty hot on any fast driving at the mo.
