Anyone had the seats out in and FK8?

Hi all,

Hoping to take advantage of a post lock-down deal but the only thing holding me back is the seat - even in it's lowest setting - is still set slightly too high for me. At 6'4 lowering driver's seats is the bane of my life!!

There looks to be a load of plastic going on beneath the seat which I assume houses the adjustment and air bag gubbins but can the seat be taken off that and mounted to a lower bracket/rail? I'd like to keep the standard seat if possible.

I think it is unlikely that the seat can be mounted lower, at least while still retaining the functionality that it currently has.
The FK8 seat is the most comfortable and supportive of any car I've ever owned, so if the seat is no good for you I wouldnt bother buying the car.

I have the same issue with cars being 6ft 2 but with a long torso, This may be of some help.

I have always installed a lowered seat rail from the likes of Spoon, Feels or J's racing in my Honda's with Recaro seats but not an option here seemingly.

Exactly my issue, long torso which is really annoying. Ok thank you for your reply, I shall investigate further.

Did not know the seats were rivited. That explains why I could not find the bolt then !
