We bought an ordinary one and we've used it outside for three days (covered over during the night with a waterproof cover), and it has started to warp. I assume that this is because the air overnight is damp and the ground on which it stands is not perfectly level.

Does anyone know whether the "outdoor" models are significantly different? Or will they too warp if the surface isn't perfect?

The ones I have seen are either metal or concrete.

....or melamine ( a type of plastic - airplane meals I think).
Indoor tend to be plywood, pay more for thicker ply.

I have a cornilleau 500m which is an outdoor table, I don't leave it out very often but have done occasionally and it is fine. Looks like new even though it is 8 years old. To my eyes it looks like an ordinary table, nothing screams outdoor to me.

We simply couldn't get an outdoor one, so we got a Buffalo indoor one. It has stayed out under a cover.

After a few days it bowed very slightly, but it hasn't worsened.
