Has anyone any experience with this?

I beleive it's based on month on month trading comparred to last year. If there is more than a 70% loss then a payment is made?

The problem we have is that our gite income is mainly from the summer months (with cancellations coming pretty fast)

Keep Safe everyone

I've applied for the 'fond de solidarity ' Terry and it's been acknowledged now. So I'm hoping for a payment of sorts.

Anyone know how we would stand about filing my last tax return?

Left France last year but have a few months of income to report for 2019. I did fill in the change of address on the Impots website so currently don't fall under any of the last dates for reporting which goes by Department (will it go under my last Department I wonder?). Thing is we're stuck in NZ with no access to my records logons to Impots etc. as they are all on my computer and storage boxes at our place in the UK and it doesn't look like we'll be getting out of here until well after the last reporting date if it does go by last Department address.

Really don't want to get fined for not filing the return but there's not much I can do about it as I've no way of getting that information.

Thanks magoo. Takes a load off my mind as that's something else I don't have to worry about and we may have been able to get out of here by then!!

You could always in the meantime send a recorded letter to your old local impots office explaining the issue. Probably won't work but at least it's worth a try.

If your March 2019 turnover was more than €1,500 and your March 2020 was 50% less you would be entitled to the full €1,500.

When completing the form online, you will enter the March 2019 and March 2020 figure and it will automatically calculate the amount due.
There is nothing to stop you altering the figures after the first entry.
You can cock it up and still go back on the form to change info until you validate the form at the end.

Thanks so much Joe, so as far as March is concerned we are not entitled to anything, so will see at the end of April

Cheers and stay safe

Do you have a siret number Terry?
I'm sure some of the Brit Gite owners have been talking on FB about getting aid.

Yes siret number and registered with chamber of commerce for 16 years, apparently it was announced early May for April payments. Lots in our position.
We are professional non professionals apparently.
There is a slight upside that as non professionals when we sell the property eventually we won’t have any tax to pay on the gain on the gîte portion. (I think)
All the best
